My God!!... its really awesome man!! from the start to the end... it was entertaining... the singing, dancing... everything.... even the effects and the lighting and the music was almost PERFECT!! ... they deserve the standing ovation... well, my frens (the guys especially) kept saying Hang Tuah should be a Malay... and speak like a true Malay... but, putting that aside... i think he did great... i was dumbstruck when i heard stephen rahman's voice.... he can really express his feelings thru singing... his voice... WOW!!! got goosebumps hearing his voice... maybe he should sing more than talk... heheh... definitely will buy his album if he has one... hmmm... cant imagine him acting in english theatres... sure dia start bukak mulut jer i dah "cair"... : D
this is the program book... 2 diff sides...
i was totally impress with AC Mizal... actually, after reading comments abt him in PGL... i really look fwd to see him perform... and definitely i concur that he really shines... going out of his normal act and he sings really well too.... i think ppl will remember him as Adipati after this...
my fav scenes??? definitely whenever Stephen sings... most fav would be the last scene... when agustu puteri waits for his prince and finally became mist.... i think that was relly touching... no conversation... only the sad song... and the action... the way they portray the sunrise was beautiful.... looks quite real...
all in all.... i think its a BIG SUCCESS for the production team... tickets sold out... good reviews... they are extending the play for another 2 days due to huge demand... the whole team should be proud of themselves... kudos to everybody involve.... esp to the man behind the scene... Zahim Albakri... dont stop directing excellent piece like this huh...
... nevertheless there are things that can be improved... apapun I'm 101% satisfied... i got more than what i've expected... hopefully the show can go far in the future... not only inside msia but also outside msia... MALAYSIA BOLEH!!! hehehe.... semangat kenegaraan la pulak..
i'm proud to see that we could actually produce this musical using local talents... maybe we are not at par as broadway or west end just yet.. but this is definitely a good start for the future of theatre in m'sia... ppl alwiz think of theatres as boring and not entertaining... perhaps this could help change that mindset and perception... and help us to value performance arts better...
i'm a theatre lover.... to me they are the real talent... coz everything is "live".... its either a success or a total wreck... i remembered my first theatre that i watch... was at istana budaya... cant remember the name anymore... its a s'porean story.. with hans isaac as the lead actor... after that been watching whenever there's opportunity...
so... looking fwd to watch more of local theatres.... also, looking fwd to get the soundtrack and dvd... good collection to hv... a memorable nite... glad that i've watched it...
"MAJULAH TEATER UNTUK NEGARA"
eyes getting smaller... better stop now.. nite-nite to everybody.... may i dream of my Tuah tonite.. hmmm... Tuah.. Tuah... hehe...
